Assessments

Jamie Edgin has been studying the ways to optimize verbal and nonverbal cognitive assessment in children with developmental disabilities, including Down Syndrome, Autism, Fragile X syndrome, Williams Syndrome, and ADHD since she began her PhD at the University of Denver with Dr. Bruce Pennington in 1998. She has also conducted studies with these groups using eye tracking, electroencephalographic (EEG), and Magnetic Resonance Imaging. In addition to serving as the Chair of the Virginia Tech Psychology Department, she currently holds the role as the Scientific Director of the Blacksburg Neuroimaging Center.
